I lost my voice! (My throat was just a little scratchy one day. By the next afternoon, I couldn’t talk.)
I’m preparing for my first felony trial in mid-September. And I couldn’t go see my client for two weeks because I couldn’t speak. 
Fortunately, I’m better now. It was pretty scary, though, because I’ve never had laryngitis before. I really wish my doctor had said something more reassuring than just, “Your voice will probably come back.”
